CSRQ isn't going to last forever, and I've mentioned before that I am ready for it to be done. I intend to cover the scam for as long as it runs, and if they run another scam and I can find it, I may cover that as well. I've also previously mentioned that my stories aren't going to last forever, so new content has to happen and I'm working on some ideas (more on that in a bit).
I don't want to chase trends or try and run towards numbers. I want to create content that I enjoy and care about, which I have been doing (although CSRQ is not something I enjoy anymore, I just need to finish it). Telling other people's stories is a lot of work to do well, and I don't really have the time to do that, and there are a lot of creators who do it better than I do. You're not going to enjoy every aspect of a project, but I need my future projects to be more enjoyable than not. And that means making decisions to take some of the harder or more time consuming portions and simplifying them (preferably for free). Yes, last week's article is related to this.
There are a few schools of thought that people have when deciding what to make. The first being to chase the cultural zeitgeist, trends and moods. That's soul crushing and if you're not good at it then you're always behind. The next is to just choose what you want to do and let the audience find you. Finally there is some combination of the two, and just like the poll I did in Guilded for the name of the lifting channel, that's where I plan to aim with what's coming.
